  • kind of odd in my opinion. The cell charger usually blows it own fuse before it will blow the fuse on the car. Try another car and see what happens. Also get another device and try your civic again to see what happens. This should pinpoint what is causing the problem. If your civic does it again with another device get it back to the dealer.


  • I will bet charger is set up wrong with positive ground,does the plug come off (the end that goes to the phone ) if so pull it off and see if it can be turn around.....power plugs are fused to protect the charging system and the appliance
