  • I have my actual vbulletin on a domain www.mydomainname.com (http://www.mydomainname.com) could i in the future, transfer all my vbuleltin to another host (for that i know that yes) but also another domainname www.anotherdomain.com (http://www.anotherdomain.com) or will it cause problem in config files on my ftp?

  • As long as the database name/username/password are the same and it's the same domain name, you shouldn't have any problems.


  • no no i mean for now, when i dev the forum, i do it on a trash domain name (that is use for offline dev) like www.trashdomainname.com (http://www.trashdomainname.com) and as far as i would realease the forum, i would transfer it on another domaine name (the real of the website), host etc.


  • You can just transfer the database and files over, it should work fine. Keep in mind you will probably have to change the config values to match the server.

    Also, you will need to change the domain assigned to the license (this can be done through the Members' Area once you purchase a license).
