  • I have little kids and woud like to stay home and contribute financilaly, any realistic ideas or real oppertunities out there?


  • ITutor.com and Brainfuse.com (they require 90 credit hours of college). I also got some project work off of Guru.com. WAHM.com is a great site--browse their message boards. There are people on there who work for Google, 1-800-Flowers, etc. Report Abuse


  • Being involved with (working in) the local schools is a good way. It puts you in the rhythm with you kids, you go to work and school around the same times, and are home at the same times, and have summers off. I would ask if your kids are school aged? If not, you might not have many options until they are going. My own mother was involved with child nutrition and worked with the schools on a school-year like calendar for many years. Later, she improved her education and moved up the ladder. Even now, after I'm in college, I can remember my mother being around me and my brother when we were little kids for the summer and for much of the day when we were home. now that we've moved on, she was able to take her career to the next level and fill in that extra space that she had been previously spending raising us. So in that respect, getting a job with the schools would be a good place to start, then you'll be in sync with you kids, despite their school lives.

  • I teach at night so I am home when my children are. What is your background? Is there any kind of work you can do at home..writing/editing, medical records, stuffing envelopes, on-line tutoring? Think creatively and you'll come up with an answer. Good luck. Report Abuse
