• I've had raspberries in restaurants as part of dessert. Yesterday I bought them fresh for the first time and left them on my kitchen counter top. I noticed that some of them are already showing sign of spoilage. How do you handle these delicate fruits? Should they be refrigerated?

  • Yes, refrigerate. But what we did with our blackberries.... we bought this little vacuum pump made by Reynolds (it's a hand held battery operated pump), and they sell these plastic bags designed to work with the pump, and it preserves them for even longer. It's relatively cheap too, plus the pump works well for all kinds of foods.

  • I eat what I can, the rest get frozen. It works each time for me.

  • Eat them immediately.

  • They should always be refrigerated when you get them home. Most of the spoilage starts in the store. What I have done when I've bought a lot is wash them up and package them in average servings and put them in the freezer. I do the same with Blueberries and other fruits like that too.

  • u can freeze them but it wont work forever.
so either freeze them or eat them :)

  • you cant they will eventually go bad
