When sexism occurs towards a woman, (cat calls, whistles, etc..)
It's frowned upon, most women would be offended, and those men guilty of such acts would be labeled "pigs"
When sexism occurs towards a man, (cat calls, whistles, etc..) it's percieved as more of a joke. The guys aren't as offended by it, or so it would seem, they actually seem to rather enjoy the attention.
And no one judges the woman for having done it.
It's quite fascinating.
PS: I'm blonde
It has always been a mutual thing.
Feminists, despite claiming to be for equality, only focus on one half of the full issue and thus misrepresent it entirely.
There are also sexist social standards.
I've found that most things that are sexist towards one gender. Is sexist towards the other.
Examples....
Women are made to sit at home with the babies, they love to cook and clean. Women are natural mothers. Children "need" mothers more then fathers. Father loose rights to their children....are very unlikely to get custody of the kids even if they are the better parent.
Women are weak, nonaggression, nonviolent, they must be protected, ....Men fight the wars, they work the more dangerous jobs, are required to sign up for SS, and die at a much greater rate in wars......in a lot of cases women cant if they want to.
and many more...sexism affects both sex's. Just a matter of how you look at the issue.
I enjoy sexist jokes anyway - doesn't matter whether its on men or women.
And if the person is serious, try listening to their point and then debating it if you disagree, rather than screaming "SEXIST" and attempting to devalue them without using your brain.
