• This is nothing to worry about,it is quite normal for this to happen, some birds pass large amounts after every egg laid.

Don't worry if she passes further deposits and may have not stopped laying yet.

Make sure she has plenty of Cuttle bone and a Mineral block, also some greens ,such as Broccoli,Kale,if you can get Dandelion leaves these are good(but no lettuce) Sweet Corn Cob and soak some of her seed .

Soak in warm water over-night ,drain rinse ,place some-where warm till it sprouts (2-3days)and feed this right through her brooding and rearing remember to rinse before feeding it.

    Good luck.

  • Yes, actuallly this is normal. While laying eggs their droppings are large and sometimes have an odor. Mainly due to the fact that an egg is blocking the hole for a bit of time. My bird is the same way during egg laying season.

  • Completely normal unless its a different color than its usual color

    then you have a problem.

Just make sure to clean the cage once in a while its tame and it wont hurt the eggs or if not you'll have to wait until hatching

  • Hi,
yes perfectly normal hens will get large watery droppings during egg laying and it could mean that shes close to laying another egg.

  • Kathy, I'm eating! (Seriously, I have no idea).
