  • I have a crush on this guy and he is very attractive. The problem is, he is my English teacher! :O He is quite a bit older than me (I'm 19) and he is in his late 30's to early 40's but he is so HOT. He doesn't have kids or a girlfriend (he recently broke up with someone; he jokes about it before class) I really have such a hard time paying attention to him when he's giving lectures in class because I end up looking down a lot and blushing. And when he tries to ask me a question, I end up kind of stuttering. The thing is, he asks me alot of questions because I'm one of his top favorite students so I get a lot of attention from him. I feel really embarrassed and ashamed because of my feelings. He is so charismatic, hilarious and handsome. :] *sighs* But I feel like it's really not a good thing because I'm his student and he's my teacher. Plus, I feel like I would be judged by other people (like my friends) for having such feelings.


    What should I do about this? Does anyone have any advice on how I can get over my feelings for my attractive English teacher and not feel downright guilty and ashamed? Put your signs too. Thanx in advance.

  • This sounds exactly like my friend except she is fully obsessed with this teacher. Your 19 you can havea relationship with him if you wanted to but its not really excepted into society that a student dates a teacher. when you leave school you wont be able to see him anymore and will most probably get over him.


  • Heck, I say go for it and make a move on him. Your not a minor and long as he keeps things on the down low all will be good.

    Anyway, despite the fact your 19, im sure it would still be illegal and just wrong for you and him to pursure a relationship...
    And youre not even sure if he feels the same way about you ...
    Its just a crush, this happens all the time..just make sure not to act on it. Obvs hes not in a good place atm if hes just broken up..
    Im 19 too and every once in a while youll come across someone ( usually a teacher...hah) whos that perfect blend of charismatic, kind, educated, funny and handsome. but I think deep down you know that nothing will come of this.
    Set your sights on someone more attainable and just treat this like a crush on a celeb


  • It's fine to think one of your teacher's is attractive. One of my best friends, funny she is also a Capricorn had a HUGE crush on her math teacher in highschool (he was young) and would talk about him constantly to us. If you keep it light hearted and all in fun it's fine, but don't let it distract you, and PLEASE don't act on it. :)

  • dont feel guilty, first of all. ive also been guilty of being attracted to an older guy, but lets just understand that its natural! i dont blame you, nor would i judge you if ive been in a similar position. besides, you trust me, theers plenty of girls who have crushes on their teachers at one point lol. we cant control the feelings in our heart, but what we can do is control how we express them, which is what you should be doing. i honestly dont think it would be appropriate at all to flirt with him during class, and much less get together with him while youre in his class (for obvious reasons). i think it would be okay if you flirted or even got together once youre completely out of his class, if you guys had an interest for each other. just dont do anything inappropriate during class, hes your teacher and you need to respect him as such, dont mix school with personal matters, thats the best you can do, and im sure you can do it, youre a Capricorn girl! lol


    really, theres no reason to feel ashamed or embarassed. and not everybody needs to know, its your business only. youre almost twenty, so its not that bad to be with a guy his age! its none of anybody's business but your own if you ever got together with him!

  • Well...I kind of have a crush on my professor too. He's youn as well. I'm 22 and he's probably in his early thirties at most. I already like a guy ( a Cap) and it's going very well for me and him and I don't want to ruin what may be so I won't go for it. BUT, thats not to say I won't at least flirt with him (which I do very subtly) and maybe when I graduate from college soon we
    can hang out. Just keep it on the low...nobody has to know. it's noone's business. Just don't let it slip out to anyone so you two won't get into trouble.
