No, Malcom, I'm sure that he wished he had Franken's beauty.
As of yesterday, funny guy Al Franken was losing in the Minnesota Senate race. With 98% of the precincts reporting, Norm Coleman led by 316 votes.
Recognizing that defeat was near, Franken did what any sane, rational person would do .. he asked for the government to engage in a "systematic, forensic search" for 133 ballots missing in Minneapolis. Oh and by the way, this specific precinct heavily favors the Democrats.
I'd be curious to know the final price tag of all this funny business. How much taxpayer money will be spent doing a "systematic forensic search" for ballots that probably don't even exist! I mean we are talking about having to interview every single person who touched or transported ballots in that district. Anyone at the polling place, all the drivers of the vehicles that carried the ballots, each and every single employee that works in any warehouse where these ballots might have been stored.
Are you just a ready as I am to have this darn election in this history books? Al Franken failed at talk radio .. maybe after this Senate race he can take his bitter self back to New York and write some more hilarious stuff for SNL.
But I expect Norm Coleman to win. It's close, Franken could still pull it off; but my money would be on Coleman.
I felt sorry for him when he was savaged by George Galloway during a Senate Committee that left him dumb-struck and stupid.
