• Ive had my male kitten for a month he is 13 weeks old, when we first got him he used his litter box always but the last week he has been peeing and pooping on the bed and couch at least once a day and also using his litterbox. Ive bought stuff from the pet shop to get rid of the odour but it doesnt stop him returning. I clean his litterbox several times daily and growl at him when i catch him doing business on the couch/bed. He seems to be in good health otherwise. Will he grow out of this? Any ideas why hes doing it? I will take him to the vet in a few days but in the mean time what do i do?

  • You haven't beaten him hard enough.

  • We have a cat that does this also. We think she is retarded and made her an outside cat...

  • Try changing the cat litter product some cats like certain cat litter products.

  • me and my family just got a cat about a month ago and she peed and pooped in several places. everyplace she peed and pooped we put a little litter box there. and like a week later she was potty trained

  • First of all, I would not recommend growling. they find that threatening if not now, but later... and could become afraid of you. I dont think the sex of the animal matters. My female kitten would pee on the couch.

Figure out what time of day he does this.. or what's going on at that time. My kitty would pee because she honestly just got SOOO excited she couldnt help herself... so when I saw her get real excited and running around, I would put her in the litter box and she would go most of the time!!!

then, after he goes in the box, pet him and cuddle him for being a good kitty!!
Also, is the litter box clean? Is it too big? Does he not like the litter? Does this kitty actually prefer privacy??may sound nuts but some cats really ARE picky!

  • when you cat does this you should move your cat to the litter box immedialty altho it still makes a mess don't even let him finish what he is doing. or start him on can training example: a penny in a soda can, shake it really hard the loud noise it should scare him personaly i use a loud ppssssttt!!!! not quite like a cat hiss but my cats respond to it well.

also cats can't stand the smell of the oils in orange and lemon peels try rubbing that on you bed becuase the smell has soaked deep into your bed even cemicals probly did not get rid of the smell. its usualy used to stop scratching but may work on your bed.

  • could still be marking his territory. needs neuturing soon

  • AS SOON AS HE DO IT WHOOP THE LIVING S**T OUT OF HIM THEN PUT HIM ON THE LITTERBOX

  • Kitten is either sick, or it does not like the litter box currently you have for him.

  • Every time he dumps on the couch, put it in his food. If hes smart, he'll put two and two together.
